As countries have developed there has been a trend towards smaller family sizes.Why does this happen? How does this affect society?
In today's world every country is moving forward to become a developed nation. As they develop, nations are getting richer and at the same time there is a decrease in family sizes. This essay will throw light on causes and the effects of the given statement before forming and appropriate conclusion.
To commence with,there are numerous causes for the shift towards the smaller family sizes. First and the foremost is education, as women are more educated these days so they are more career oriented and not merely restrict themselves to plan a family.Moreover,education leads to awareness, as a result birth control methods becomes readily available. With the availability of free medical clinic or distribution of free contraception people can choose family sizes. Consequently, this results in the decrease in population.
On the other hand, this will impact the society in the number of ways. Firstly, with decline in population, there is a reduction in poverty level due to less competition for the scarce resources. Secondly, due to smaller family units, parents can provide better education to their children.Despite of this,less population leads to less workforce which results in the decline of economy.
To recapitulate the given points,it is observed that this trend will continue for the benefit of the country and I believe that this whole scenario will take our society towards wealthier and brighter future.
