It is true that we are living in a consumption - based society which leads to the increase of mass - production activities to meet current demands. As a result, the animal species are on the edge of permanent disappearance soon. There are a number of reasons behind this phenomenon and several solutions should be adopted urgently to tackle the problem.
From my personal perspective, there are two primary reasons why many animal species are becoming extinct. Firstly, we take up more space on Earth for our homes and cities. They briskly started to clear out the forests. Without trees, which plays an essential role as abandant food sources or even shelters. Secondly, Human activities, including intense fishing around the world, are altering ocean ecosystems. Overexploitation can lead to resoarce depletion and put a number of threatened and endangered species at a higher risk of extinction. For example, Humans have altered 75% of land and 66% of marine environments since pre-industrial times.
There are practical measures which could be imposed to improve the problem of animal species are grow into die our. The first effective step should be taken is to heavier sentences should be imposed on people who engage in illegal logging, hunting and overfishing. This is protect natural habitats. Another possible method can be used to support breeding programs which have saved endangered animals from extinction. For instance, captive-bred condors began being released into the wild and there are now thought to be around 330 birds flying free across the United States.
In conclusion, some reasons why the development of humans can influence the natural surviral of animal species can be indentified, and some concrete actions should be taken to address the live issue.
