In this topic, author says that, a patient should have easy access to his or her doctor's record of treating similarly afflicted patients. And I do agree with author's point of view. Because health issue is not a issue which can be ignored. The decision for health should be taken carefully.

So, if an ailing patient have enough information about the doctor's previous record, it will help the patient to determine weather the doctor is competent to treat that medical condition or not.Sometimes fake doctors cheated the patients, like sometime they doing illegal things such as they steal kidney and other body part. And patients come to know after it took place. So, when you have enough information about a doctor, there are the minimum chances to be entrapped.

second thing, As we all know "practice makes a man perfect". So, a doctor who is practicing for a long time, definitely have a command in his profession. He can easily understand his patient's problem, and complexity of the problem, And will start treatment according to the seriousness of the problem. A good doctor will never recommend a high dose of medicine to his patient, and will follow a right procedure of treatment.

In the end, I want to conclude that, mental status also plays a role of catalyst, as if we know the history of doctors then we can choose the best one for us. And the successful record of a doctor is a record of curing the disease. Which will motivates the ailing patient to.

So, according to me, it is neccessary to know the doctor's professional history. Because it is the easiest way to determine the doctor weather a doctor is good enough in his profession or not. And an ailing patient can decide to go with his choice .
