A nation should require all of its students to study the same national curriculum until they enter college.
In the United Sates, Common Core State Standards has been adopted by 44 states. The Common Core is a set of educational goal that outline of what students in Kindergarten through 12th grade should know by the end of the year to be ready for college or career. Because of its concept of a national curriculum, it has been criticized in the Tea Party notion that the Common Core is a gross exercise of federal power, or “top-down control” for students. Regardless of political ideology, the national curriculum (or standards) certainly has a lot of benefits that could not be overlooked.
