The graph below shows the amount of money spent on books in Germany, France, Italy and Austria between 1995 and 2005.

The line graph illustrates the amount of money spent on buying books in 4 different countries (Germany, France, Italy and Austria) for the period 1995 to 2005. The units are measured in US millions of dollars.

It is clearly observed from the graphs that, the money collected in books showed the incremental trends. The country that spent the most money on books was Germany while Austria spent the least amount on books until 2001.

The most of books have purchased in Germany, which amount have collected at 80 in 1995 as this figure fluctuated throughout the period until it is reaching the highest point of over 90 at the end of the period. Italy showed the similar trend as Germany as it moved from 50 to 60 within given periods. Within 10 years of periods, Italian citizens consumed the most money on books compared to those of in 1995, as the total amount on books was more than 60 by the end of the period.

During 10 years of projected periods, French books collected amount steadily from 50 in 1995 to over 70 by 2005 whereas, Austrian generated the least amount on books for the first 6 years of around 30 to 40 million USD. There is an increasing trend of reading in Austria as the number of books has skyrocketed to reach at 60, which purchased by Austrian. This trend continued until the money contributed at above 70 by 2005.
