Given is the graph which illustrates the numbers of books by both genders at Burnaby Public Library in the period of four years: from 2011 to 2014.
Overall, it is obviously seen that the progression of books read by men is various from the other gender’s growth.
To begin with, starting 5000 books which were read by women in 2011, the numbers of books read by female rose steadily to 8000 in 2002 and continued to 10000 in 2013. However, during 2013-2014, the progression of books read by women dropped dramatically to only 8000 at the end of this period.
On the other hand, the number of books read by men at the starting point was lower than the women figure by 2000.the growth of numbers of books read by men slightly increased to 4000 in 2012 and jumped to 1000 rapidly in 2013 which carried the same data with the opposite gender. Consequently, the progression of books that men read went up to the peak at 14000 in 2014.
To sum up, women read books smaller amount than men at the beginning of the period, however, men changed to read more books than women at the following times of this period.
