20. The diagrams below show the main reasons workers chose to work from home and the hours males and females worked at home for the year 2019.
The bar chart and table displayed give information about why men and women worked from the house and their working hours at home in 2019.
According to the bar chart, saving money, being more productive and getting easier childcare were the three main reasons for employees to work from home this year. It is noticeable that the most significant advantage of working at their house was saving money for both male workers (45%) and female workers (42%). While 24% of men preferred to work from home due to higher productivity, 26% of women chose to work at home for taking care of children conveniently.
Looking at the table graph, we can see the majority of females (74%) who had worked at home worked under ten hours per week and 6% of them worked over 30 hours in 2019. The story was totally different for males, with 81% of male workers had more than 30 hours worktime at home and only 3% of guys worked less than 10 hours.
