The bar graph provides data on the proportion of men and women from Australia in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.
In general, it can be seen that the percentage of Australian women who did physical activity was higher than men in all age groups, except for 15 to 24. Additionally, it is clear that the figure for female was higher in middle-age groups.
Looking at the graph for young-age groups in more detail, it is evident that the percentage of Australian women who did regular pyhsical activity in 2010 was higher in 25 to 34 and 35 to 44 age groups, compared to men, by 48.9% against 42.2% and 52.5% against 39.5 respectively. Although those figures, the proportion of Australian men who did regular physical activity in 2010, at 52.8%, was higher than women, at 47.7%.
45 to 54 age group had the biggest percentage difference between Australian men and women who did regular physical activity in 2010. In this group, figure for women was the highest of the all graph, at 53.3%, followed by women in 55 to 64 age group, by 53%. Data on 65 and over aged men and women who did regular physical activity in the same year showed very close to each other, former was 46.7% and latter was 47.1%.
