The following graph describes about the amount of electricity generated and used by ten countries in 2014. Overall, it can be seen that China had the most production and consumption amount where Korea Rep. had the least number of production and usage of electricity. All nations, except Germany, consumed more than produced.
On the first rank was China which generated 5,398 billion kWh and utilized 5,322 billion kWh. China was then followed by United States with the production amount of 4,099 billion kWh and consumption amount of 3,866 billion kWh. However there was a huge gap after China and United States, where the rest of the countries' production and consumption amount did not even reach a half of United States and China's.
Russia led the remaining nations with 1,057 billion kWh in generation and 1,038 billion kWh in utilization. Russia then followed by Japan on the 4th place, which produced 936.2 billion kWh and consumed 856.7 billion kWh. On the 5th and 6th place there were India (871 billion kWh in production and 698.8 billion kWh in consumption) and Canada (618.9 billion kWh in generation and 499.9 billion kWh in usage). The 7th to 10th ranked countries (France, Brazil, Germany and Korea, Rep.) produced in a range of approximately 485 billion kWh to 561 billion kWh) and consumed between about 449 billion kWh to 462 billion kWh). All of the countries had more production than consumption, with an exception for Germany which used electricity more than produced it, at the amount of 526.6 billion kWh and 582.5 billion kWh, respectively.
