The pie chart shows us some information about the social media users in Jamestown. It tells us about the percentage of the users by age in 2018.
In general, we can see the proportion of the social media users in the following chart. It’s been divided to five scales with different colors. The highest categories are obviously the blue “13-25” (40%) and the orange “26-35” (35%). While the lowest categories are the grey “36-45”, the yellow “46-55” and the green “over 55” (18%, 10%, 2%) respectively.
Since we are talking about social media and the internet so, the highest users are definitely the teenagers and the youth. Thus, the highest rank went to the age from 13 to 25, they got two fifths. Next, the less high, it was about people between age 26 and 35 (just over a third). This clarifies that individuals from age 13 to age 35 are in much use of the social media due to their work and social experiences, and of course because it’s much easier for them to deal with technology.
In contrast, we can find that users, between 36 to 45 years old, got less than a fifth. Then, followed by the age of 46-55 (one in ten). Ultimately, in the lowest scale, came people over 55. It makes sense that the old people are less into social media, it’s way difficult to them.
