Some money spent by US’s teenager or adults to buy clothes per in 1985, 1995, and 2005 is presented in the chart.
Overall, women spent most of budgets on clothes over the periods with the rising trend. While the figure for men’s clothes showed a fluctuation, the figure for teenager’s ones tend to stable.
In 1985, money spent on boy and girl’s clothes had same at far below $200. While figure for boy’s ones remained stable, being the lowest budgets over the periods, girls spent more slight budgets with around a quarter of women’s clothes, the highest budgets in 2005 compared with other budgets.
When it come in men’s clothes figure, after reaching a peak at just over 400 in 1995, some money spent showed decline to 400 in 2005. However, women used their money much more than others and the figures experienced growing trend, from over 400 in 1995 to slight over 600 in the last period.
