Besides, when teenagers use their phones, the digital camera is the third most popular reason with 15% in both 2016 and 2017. Between 2017 and 2019, there was a slight rise from 15% to 20% in the proportion of using digital cameras.
On the contrary, the second most common reason for teenagers using their phones was writing and sending emails. In 2016, the percentages of the purpose of using email made up a quarter, with exactly 25%. Nevertheless, from 2016 to 2019, it started decreasing slightly by 6%. The lowest percentage of reason when teenagers use their phones through 4 years was using phone calls. In 2016, it only had 10%. After that, it increased slowly to 13% in 2017 and then continued plummeting to 5% in 2019.
