The graph illustrates the unemployment proportion of people who live in rural and urban areas in Australia in 2012.
Overall, looking at the graph, it is immediately obvious that the urban areas' unemployment percentage experienced an upward trend. However, although the amount in rural areas fell slightly, this still registered the higher figures.
In the beginning, the unemployment situation in rural areas dropped significantly to 5 percent in the second quarter, at which point this number rise moderately to 5.3 percent. An opposite trend was witnessed in urban areas, which considerably increase to 4 percent in quarter 2, followed by the considerable fall to about 2 percent.
After the unemployment rate in rural areas fluctuated during the third second, this figure ended up with accurately 5 percent. Meanwhile, the amount in urban areas grew from 2 percent to 4 percent in the third second, after which that rate gradually climb to almost 5 percent at the end of the period.
