The first graph illustrates the proportion of five reasons why people choose bicycle to work, whereas the second graph shows the reasons why people tend to drive by car to work. Overall, more than half of the people travel by cycle for health and to avoid pollution, while the main reasons for using car is for comfort.
From the first graph, it is evident that 60 per cent of them people use bicycle for their fitness and also with the idea of creating less pollution, while 15% of the people choose bicycle to avoid parking problems. No costs and faster limit influenced 13% and 12% of the people respectively.
Regarding the second chart, comfort is the main reason for 40% of the people to choose a car for a drive to office, while 21% of the people use car due to the distance from home to work place. 11% of the people feel that car driving is safer to cycling and hence use car. The remaining 28% of the people use car as it is faster than cycle and can be used to carry things to work place.
