The supplied column graph depicts information regarding the whole procedure of producing electricity through a hydroelectric power station.
Overall, It is quite apparent from the graph that three main contributors involved namely, River water, Power station, and Dam in generating electricity. The whole power-generating process is divided into two different stages(Daytime and Night).
In the first stage, River water is stored in a high-level reservoir temporarily used as a backup for the dam, and in the daytime, it is intaken in the dam, however, at night dam is closed. Water flows into the power station generator for generating electricity, whereas, at night, during pumping the water flow back in the high-level reservoir.
In the power station, reversible turbines and generators are fixed, turbines (in the daytime) run the generator and through water into a small reservoir. while at night it sent water back into the high-level reservoir. Finally, the generator produces electricity and sent it to the national grid via power lines.
