The diagram below shows how ethanol fuel is produced from corn.
The given diagram details the process making ethanol fuel from corn. In general, there are 9 main steps from corn preparation to using the fuel in gas station.
Firstly, workers collect the corn from the farm, then corn is stored in a warehouse. In third stage, the corn is milled by a machine. Next, it is cooked with water in a big pot over 4 hours. On the 5 stage, workers ferment the cooked corn about 48 hours to completely.
Afterwards, the fermented product is then put through a process which separates the liquid from the solids. The liquid should be purified, take around 5 hours, the ethanol fuel is completed. After the completion, the fuel is stored by trucks or cars, the fuel will be sold for consumers. Finally, ethanol fuel is used as a train fuel.
