The diagram highlights the process by which geothermal energy is harnessed to generate electricity. Overall, there are five steps in this green process in a geothermal power plant, from using the cold water to supplying electricity to the national grid.
The first step is to hold the abundance of water, which is cold, in the reservoir above the ground. Once being pumped roughly 4.5 Kilometer down, cold water is injected well into horizontal hot rocks called Geothermal Zone, where water becomes warmer. After passing this area, the high-temperature water reaches the well production step before pumping up around the same height that it comes down. Then, the water, which is now hot, enters to the Condenser.
Turning to the structures on the ground, the condenser produces the high-pressure steam, and the steam moves through the turbine cabin. To generate the power for the generator, the turbine is rotated by the steam. Finally, the generator produces electricity for the national grid.
