The diagram illustrates the process of producing electricity from geothermal power.
Overall, the production of electricity by geothermal power plant involves five main steps starting from cold water to the electricity produced in generator and the distribution of that electricity.
At the first stage in the producing electricity, cold water is pumped down to the ground from a reservoir to the injection well by a 4.5 kilometres length tube. Subsequently, a geothermal zone is used to convert cold water to hot water. In general, the geothermal zone also is known as hot rocks, which warm hot water by moving it from the injection well to the production well. Following this, hot water is pumped up from the production well to a condenser in order to generate steams. Once steams have been generated, they are transferred to a turbine and spin the turbine. Ultimately, a generator is powered by the rotation of the turbine and produces electricity, which after that is distributed to steal towers from where it shared to other networks.
