The diagram presents the steps involved in the preparation of maple syrup.
Overall, it takes several steps starting with the sap in the tree and ending with either preparation of candies or delivering to stores for the customers to buy.
To begin with, the process starts when the night temperatures are below freezing point and the day temperatures are above freezing point and this is when the sap begins to flow. A tap is put into a tree and a tube is connected to the tap for collection of the sap in a storage tank. From there, it goes to an evaporator where it is boiled until it becomes a syrup.
The syrup is then packed in bottles and cans. Some of it is shipped to stores, where people buy it and enjoy at home. Some of the syrup is used to make candies or as an ingredient in cakes and other foods.
