The diagram shows the different stages in the production of woollen goods
The procedure illustrates how woollen goods are produced. Overall, this is a man-made linear process involving two main stages, wool production and making woollen products.
In the first step, sheep are sheared to collect wool, the collected wool is cleaned in water to eliminate dust and dirty elements to ensure the wool is clean. After that, the wool is dried to be qualified before being carded via a drying machine. The outcome of the carding phase consists of tufts of wool and strings, while the former is used directly in the next stage, the latter is separated from the process to be spent for recycling.
In the subsequent phase, the tufts of wool are stored in the storage, followed by being spun to make balls of yam. After distributing to consumers via markets, the span balls yam are served for two main purposes which are knitting and making jackets and carpets.
