The diagram illustrates the machinary that uses sea waves to produce electricity.
Overall, air pressure generated by sea waves runs turbine, which in turn produces electrical energy.
The whole electricity generating setup is assembled either on sea wall or cliff by building a chamber that is connected to a vertical column. In this column, a turbine is implanted, which is capable of rotating and resultantly converting mechanical energy into electrical energy. Furthermore, the turbine is connected to electrical appliance through a wire to ensure transmission.
The principle behind this setup is using power of to and fro motion of sea waves to produce massive air pressure and rotate turbine. When the sea waves enter the chamber, upward air pressure is generated whereas when the waves leave the chamber, downward air pressure develops. However, in both cases turbine rotates in same direction. As a result, an uninterrupted conversion of mechanical energy into electrical energy happens, which is then transmitted to appliances.
