The diagrams below show how floods happen in a village and give two solutions to deal with them.
The diagrams below illustrate the current flood situation in the village along with two recommendations to solve the problem.
In general, it can be seen that the flooding area was created by the intersection between river A and river B. Two possible cure are suggested for tackling the problem by relocating the areas and using dams to prevent the flood.
The flood happens by the interconnection of rivers A and B where two river flow connect at the center point, so the flood soon appears. The happening flood caused various potential damage for local areas such as industrial parks, commercial buildings, and residential areas.
There are two ideal solutions to fix the problem. The first option is repositioning 3 main areas; while industrial park and residential area are removed and transported northward to the headwater of river A, commercial buildings are repositioned to the opposite direction away from the flooding area. Although the idea of relocation contributes to the preservation of the environment, it costs a small fortune for relocating fees.
Secondly, dams and reservoirs are built and placed at the west and north, respectively. Although the cost is low and affordable, it affects land negatively.
