The first chart below shows how energy is used in an average Australian household. The second chart shows the greenhouse gas emissions which result from this energy use.

The first given pie chart illustrates the consumption of energy which is used by the individuals of Australia for various purposes, where as second reveals the proportion of greenhouse gas emissions released from using energy.

Overall, it is interesting to note that, the highest part of energy is utilised for heating but emit of greenhouse gas produces from water heating.

It can be clearly seen that, for heating work, 42% of energy is consumed which is a maximum proportion as compare to others. Moreover, around one third of Total energy is used for water heating which is double of other appliances (15%), while there is nominal percentage of energy used for cooling (2%),lighting(4%)and refrigeration(7%).

Moving farther, water heating is a vast source of greenhouse gas EMIT which releases nearly one third of total emissions followed by other appliances (28%) which is the second major cause of it which is double of refrigeration.However, heating, cooling and lighting are responsible of 15%, 3%, and 8% respectively.
