In 1980, petrol and oil enegy was consumed the most, at 35 quadrillion units and this figure continue rising significantly, in the year 2030, it is expected to climb by 47 quadrillion units.
Meanwhile, the amount of coal and natural gas ranked the second and third among six sources mentioned with 16 quadrillion units and 20 quadrillion units respectively in 1980. From 1980 to 2015, these figures fluctuated slightly between 16 quadrillion and 25 quadrillion units. However, during the priod from 2015 to 2030, natural gas consumption will stay unchanged at 25 quadrillion units, whereas the amount of coal consumed will considerably increase to 30 quadrillion units.
Turning to the other sources, three of them started with 4 quadrillion units in 1980 but differently change in the next 50 years. The consumption of nuclear power slightly increase, reach about 8 quadrillion units in 2030, while the figures for solar and wind power consumption vary from 4 to 5 quadrillion units. By contrast, hydropower uasage slightly fluctuated until 2010, from that the amount of this energy consumed remain completely unchanged.
