The line graph illustrates the percentages of using cutting-edge technology transformed in households in four different kinds of devices between 1994/95 and 2008 in the United Kingdom. Overall, there was an upward trend in four kinds of technological devices.
From 1994/95 to 1998/99 the number of houses having CD player increased continuously from about 45% to nearly 70%. As regards, from just 10% in 1998/99, the percentages of internet connection used in houses rose much more than 40% in the years of 2002/03. Likewise, CD player users went up gradually to about 83% in the next four years. In addition, the number of the CD player and internet connection users in England increased 10% and about 15% respectively in 2006/07. Moreover, in the following year, the percentage of CD consumers felt slightly 1% compared to 2006/07. By contrast, internet connection users continue to go up to 65% in 2008.
The number of mobile phone users experienced an upward trend which was about 16% in 1996/97 and reached nearly 80% in 2004/05. Similarly, the period between 2002/03 and 2006/07 saw a sharp growth of DVD players from 30% to 83%. Furthermore, the number of DVD player and mobile phone users continued to increase and reached 85% and 87% respectively.
