The graph below shows the number of university graduates in Canada from 1992 to 2007.

The graph illustrates the number of candidates(male and female) with respect to time(1992-2007) who are University graduates in Canada.
Overall, it is clear from the graph that the number of both, male and female graduates in Canada increased from the year 1992, which was the lowest to 2007 being the highest number of graduate students.
In the year 1992 male graduates were just about 70,000 as compared to female graduates being slightly less than 100,000. These figures increased to approximately mid-way between 90,000 and 100,000 for males and almost 150,000 for females in the year 2007.
However, this increase hasn't been steady over the years. There have been some fluctuations. In the year 1995, male candidates increased to around 80,000 whereas female candidates rose to a little above 100,000. These figures then declined in the year 1998. The numbers in 1998, for both, males and females were similar as in 1992. While the male candidates again saw a decline in the year 2001 as compared to 2000, the figures for female candidates saw a steady increase.
