Given is the line graph contrasting the rate of four distinct materials which were recycled in an undefined country during a period of 28 years, commencing from 1982.
Percertibly, the percentage of all materials used for recycle experienced a similar soaring trend in which paper and cardboard was by far the highest in comparison to the others.
Leaping from 65 percent in 1982 to 70% in 1996, the rate of paper and cardboard deflated in the next 5 years before returning to 65% in 1990. Thereafter, it surged exponentially to 80% in 1994; however, the last 7 years witnessed a sharp slump in the rate with only 70% recorded in 2010.
When it comes to that of glass containers recycled, it diminished from 50% in 1982 to 40% in 1990, followed by a period of a sharp surge to the original number within 5 years, commencing 1990 to 1994. This figure still continued to rise slightly to 60 % in 2010.
Strikingly, the aluminum cans began to be used for recycling in 1986; however, its percentage swelled from the starting point at 5% to peak around 45% in the last year in 2010. While plastics were not used as recyclable materials until 1990 ( no plastics were used as recyclable material before the year 1990), this figure witnessed a slow rise with the percentage only 9% reported in 2010.
