Moving further, goods transported by train started with 40 million tons; afterward, they decreased significantly, and started fluctuating; eventually, they reached 40 million tons again in the year 2002. Finally, products conveyed by pipeline rose considerably until 1982; subsequently, from 1982 to 2002, there was a stagnation just with the minor differences.
Overall, goods in the UK, which were distributed through several modes of transportation, almost followed a rising trend in all the modes except the rail transport.
