The comparison of solar energy used by four biggest economic countries between 1995 and 2015, a-20 year period, is presented in the graph.

Overall, the solar energy consumption in USA and China experienced a growth, while such consumption in Japan showed the reverse. However, the figure for Germany remained constant, being the lowest.

In 1995, the amount of solar energy use in the US stood at slight under 8.000, and there was a gradual rise to 18.000, making the highest. However, China consumed lowest such energy from around 200 to 2.000 between 1995 and 2005. In the rest period, such figure sharply increased to nearly 12.000.

In Japan, the consumption of sun's energy experienced a gradual decline to over 4.000 in 2000, and the using of such energy continued to decrease until the last period at under 2.000. However, 1995 to 2010 saw a fluctuation in Germany’s solar energy usage, and it remained stable for the following year at 2.000.
