The graph illustrates the number of Someland’s people, suffering from X disease, over a period of 35 years from 1960 to 1995.
Overall, it is clear that an increasing trend in the number of people, who had X disease, was seen until mid seventies, then this figure remained stable for following 5 years, before dropping to zero in 1990.
At the beginning of the period, a hundred people contracted X disease in this area. this figure remained stable for next 5 years before doubling in 1970. Suddenly, X disease had been raging for a half of decade in someland, with the number of infected people by this illness rising dramatically by 300 cases and reaching a peak of 500 cases in the late 70s.
No changes were reported in this area until 1980. At this time a fortunate event occured, with figure dropping to zero by 1990. X disease eradicated totally in this area, with the number of cases of the disease reamined at zero until the end of given period.
