The graphs below show the numbers of male and female workers in 1975 and 1995 in several employment sectors of the republic of Freedonia.Write a report for a university teacher describing the information shown.

The line charts illustrate the number of men and women Freedonia workers in six different sectors between 1975 and 1995.

Non-defense public sector became the job for the majority of males in both 1975 and 1995. It became the main job for most females in 1975 as well, however, wholesale & retail trade sector dominated instead among women in 1995.

The numbers of men and women in non-defence public sector were well over 800,000 and 600,000 respectively for two decades. Meanwhile, wholesale & retail trade sector had the second most workers for men (about 700,000) and women (around 550,000) in the first period. Surprisingly, while the number of male workers remained unchanged, the number of female workers dramatically rose to almost 800,000 over a couple of decades.

Interestingly, communication and finance/banking sectors were highly unpopular among women in 1975 with less than 300,000 workers. However the figures sharply climbed in two decades; the former became half a million, while the latter became over 400,000. Nevertheless, the number of male workers in those sectors remained unchanged for twenty years (300,000 and just below 500,000 respectively).

Manufacturing was the third most popular men jobs in both periods (over 600,000), however, the figure in those periods were only its half in females. Defence public sector was the least popular throughout the time with below 300,000 workers in both sexes.
