The line graph illustrates the trend patterns of business communication in New Stratford over the last 25 years from 1980 to 2005.
There are two basic general trends: downward and upward. As a regard the first, the trend for letters was down over the period, falling significantly from 19 million to 2 million. Likewise, the trend for landline phones also ended the period down. By contrast, the changes for the other three types of communications went up by varying degrees. People did not use any other internet communication in business in 1980; It started in 1985 and rose gradually to 8 million communication a day in 2005. Furthermore, the trend for the cell phone and emails also ended the period up in 2005. They both started with 2 million in 1980, then increased slightly till 1995 and after that climbed sharply till 2005.
Overall, business communication that mostly held in letters and landline phone calls in 1980 moved practically fully to emails and different phone calls by 2005.
