Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and making comparisons where relevant.
The chart depicts the data about how many cars were stolen for every thousand vehicles in Great Britain, Sweden, France, and Canada from 1990 to 1999.
In general, while the theft rate in Great Britain and Canada decreased, that in Sweden increased, except for France, where it stayed unchanged over the period given. In addition, Great Britain had the highest number of thefts.
Looking at the line graph, we can see that the number of thefts in the UK fluctuated between 16 and 20 per thousand vehicles over the first six years, followed by a steady drop in the remaining time. The figure for Canada started at about 7. Then there was a decline, falling to 5 in the middle of 1993 before growing gradually to 6 in 1999.
In contrast, in the first five years, the figure for Sweden fluctuated around 7. In the following year, it had a slight growth of 12 and remained stable at this number for the next three years. In the final year, it rose significantly to 14. Similarly, the figure for France was erratic between 6 and 7 the whole time. However, it returned to the initial number in the last year, at 6.
