The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.
The maps illustrate the layout of the Islip town centre as well as the plan for its development in the future.
A cursory at the diagrams is enough to make it clear that the shop chain located in the centre of this town will remain the same in the future. Another thing to add is that the dual roadway will be built up surrounding this town.
According to the diagrams, towards the north of this town, the shop chain will be demolished to make way for the bus station, shopping centre, car park and new housing area. Besides, the main road lying nearby will be replaced by the road for pedestrians only. Moreover, the part situated in the southeast of this town is planned to reduce in size in the future. Adjacent to this park, new housing will be constructed. Finally, the school positioning in the southwest of this town will stay unchanged in the future with some inconsiderable change in size.
Overall, the Islip town centre will witness a dramatic transformation in the future.
