The graph represents the comparison of different kinds of energy production in France in 1995 and 2005.
The initial impression from the graph is that gas and coal were always the main energy production and also witnessed upward trends over the period shown. While, the proportion of petrol fell dramatically at the same time. Although the figures for nuclear and other energy make up a small amount, the percentage of them rose significantly in 10 years.
Starting at 29.80% in 1995, coal was the highest in the comparison with the remaining four. Following that was gas with 29.63% and the data of petrol was about 29.27%. After 10 years of growth, the proportion of coal witnessed a slight surge to 30.93% in 2005. Likewise, the proportion of gas also saw a moderate rise to 30.31%. And the opposite trend is for the proportion of petrol, it experienced a steep decline to 19.55% in the last year of the period shown.
With a reference to the proportion of nuclear, it was begin at 6.40% and also higher than
the figure of other energy was underneath at 4.90% in 1995. 10 years later, the proportion of nuclear and other energy roared sharply to respectively 10.10% and 9.10%.
