The stipulated pie diagram describes the average domestic expenses in a country in 1950 and 2000. The mentioned parameters are housing, food, health care, education, transportation and other.
It is clear from the data that, almost two third (72.1%) of the expenses were incurred for housing in 1950. Whereas, after a 50 yers of time this proportion was reduced drastically to one fifth of the total household expenses. Food was by far the highest percentage (11.2%) in domestic expenditure in 1950, followed by education and others (6.6% and 4.4%). Health care only accounted for a very small proportion of 2.4%.
On the other hand, there was a significant difference in expenditure pattern of households during 2010. One third (34%) of people's spendings was on food, almost three fold rise as compared to the previous figures. One important thing to be noted that, unknown expenses were increased drastically and registered almost 15% difference in proportion over the period of 50 years. Likewise, transportation expenses also were hiked to a considerable figure of 14%. Education expenses and health care expenses stayed at the same proportions despite some slight changes.
In conclusion, All expenses showed an increasing trend over the period of time. Expenses like food and others increased significantly while, expenditures like housing and education showed a fall in proportions.
