Besides, the spending on food come as the second most popular spending in both countries, it made up almost a quarter and less than a third in Japan and Malaysia, respectively.
Nevertheless, the percentage of spending on the other items in Japan surpassed that in Malaysia. In detail, 20% and 6% were the proportions of the expense of transport and healthcare, respectively in Japan, which were twice as high as those in Malaysia.
