The pie charts illustrate amount of electricity manufactured from different resources in Australia and France in the years 1980 and 2000.
Overall, the most significant source of electricity in Australia was coal in both two years, whereas in France coal and gas accounted to the most units of electricity produced in 1980, but nuclear power became the most considerable source of electricity generation in 2000.
In Australia, coal produced 50 units in 1980 and substantially rose to 130 in 2000. In addition, the figure of hydro power increased from 20 units in 1980 to 36 units twenty years later. By contrast, a substantial drop is noticeable in the amount of electricity generated from natural gas in the given period.
As for electricity generation in France, units produced from coal and natural gas stayed at the same rate in 1980. However, nuclear power generated the most units of electricity in 2000. Whilst only 15 units were produced from nuclear power in 1980, this amount upsurged to 126 units at the end of the period.
