The plans below show the layout of a university’s sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.
The two maps illustrate some changes that will take place in a university's sports center.
Overall, the main difference will be the appearance of new facilities involving new types of sports. It also can be seen that there will be a development of the two outdoor courts.
At present, after entering the entrance of the building, there is a reception, a 25-meter swimming pool behind it and a gym at the back. People can access a changing room by the door on the left of the pool or go to a seating area by the door on the right of the reception. There are outdoor courts to the west and east of the building.
After redevelopment, two outdoor courts will be merged with the center building. The gym is planned to be enlarged to the east. Moreover, the outdoor courts on the right are predicted to be replaced by a sports hall. Two new dance studios will be erected to the east, while to the east-south of the building, there will be a new changing room and a cafe established. Another replacement that will occur is the removal of outdoor courts to build a leisure pool to the west of the building. The sports center also saw the establishment of a new changing room and a sports shop to the west-south.
