The table shows the information about independent films released in UK and republic of Ireland in 2012.and also shows the different genres of movies like comedy, horror, Drama, action and its ticket sales income proportion.
As we can see the statistic of table, Drama and Documentary movies are high numbers of releases which is 35 each, 23.6 % of total numbers of releases. But the incomes of these movies are dramatically low which is 8.3 % and 2.9% respectively. Meanwhile, Comedy films has great success rate to over viewing the financial income (45.4 %), by releasing only 26 numbers.
On the other hand thriller and horror movies have third highest numbers of releases 13 and 14 respectively. However, horror movies are the second highest gross collection films which have 20.2 % of ticket sales income. The romance films have lowest selling incoming record which is only 0.8%. Meanwhile, Biopic movies have significant selling record where only one release and earn 9.1% of income.
Overall we can say that in UK comedy, horror and biopic movies get impressive commercially success during 2012. However, Action, crime and romance movies are released at the same time but the ticket selling income was gradually lower compare to other movies.
