07.11.2017 A family member is coming to stay with you. He/she will be arriving by train in the morning, but you won’t be home until the evening.
Write a letter to your relative. In your letter:
explain arrangements you have made for them to have keys and get into the house
tell your relative how to get from the train station to your house
say when you will be home and suggest what you could do together that evening
Dear Sarah,
I am writing to inform you I will not be able to meet you at the train station. However, I have made all arrangements to make you arrival convenient. Before I left the home, I had given a set of keys from the house to my neighbor Mrs. Smith. You may take the keys from her. She usually spends all day in her garden; so, you’d better phone her otherwise she will not hear you. Her cell phone number is +19008008989. She will give you three keys, the biggest one is used to open the entrance door. The lock in this door has a secret and to open it you will need to turn it once on the left and then three times on the right.
There are two ways to get to my place. Firstly, you can use public transport. The closest bus stop to the train station is located near the main entrance. You should take a bus number four and then get off at the fifth stop. When you left the coach, you should turn around and my house will be right in front of you. Another way to get to the destination is to take a taxi cab but this ride may cost you a small fortune.
I will be home at 10:00 pm. I think that by the time I arrive you will have become really hungry because my fridge is completely empty. So, on my way home, I will purchase a big pizza and some wine; After we have a decent dinner, we can watch your favorite movie on DVD if you want.
See you soon.
Your brother Eugene.
