Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter with regards to the job which I'd have taken this summer. Due to some reasons, it wouldn't be possible for me to still occupy that spot this year.
My school just called off their ongoing strike that has lasted for about 8 months. The students are required to start classes from next week Monday, since the first semester exams starts in three weeks. We'd be occupied throughout this year so we can be able to cover everything that was missed in the last academic session.
Please I'm really very sorry for the inconvenience this might have caused your office. When I heard the news about resuming my academics, complying was the best choice. I never saw this coming! I plead with you to accept my apology.
Lastly, I'd want to bring to your notice that I'm still interested to work in your establishment. If I am giving this same opportunity next summer, then I would gladly fill in that position to work as your sales manager.
I look forward to hearing from you at the earliest.
Yours faithfully,
Adam Grant
