Dear Max,
I was supposed to leave for Canada on the 4th of February 2022 but an important event came up which I will have to attend.
My younger sister’s long time boyfriend is planning a surprise engagement party for her on the 1st of February 2022. Since the both of them started dating, I’ve always been there for them in terms of relationship advice. My attendance is mandatory because you know I’m her only brother.
About the disappointment this has caused please accept my apologies. It’s not my fault that I couldn’t keep to my words or that I disappointed you. I’d make it up to you once I come over to see you for friendship sake.
My one year study leave starts on 1st March 2022 and I’ll be able to see you before I head to my school in Mexico which resumes on 10th March 2022. During the summer is also a good time to visit; schools won’t be in session then.
Can’t wait to see you.
Adam
