Dear Sir,
I hope your day is going great. I am writing this letter because of my absence at the board meeting which held today by 8:00am.
To beging with, I am so sorry that I could not attend the meeting that took place this morning given that I am the Head of Admin of this organization. Please accept my sincere apology since I was not supposed to miss that meeting for anything.
To continue, my reason for not attending is because of some unforseen circumstances. Early this morning, as I was about driving out of my house, I got a call from my mum that she is not feeling too well, so I rushed down to her house immediately. However, when I got to my mum's house, she was already waiting downstairs, so I picked her up and went straight to the hospital.
To conclude, I am going to make it up to you sir. Mark sent me the routine for the week which was discussed at the meeting. I am going to ensure that the letters is dispatched to the Governor before the week runs out.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Adam.
