You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You are part of a group of musicians who meet on Tuesday and Friday evenings to practise in the community hall.
You have been told, however, that it is no longer possible for the group to use the hall.
Write a letter to the manager. In the letter:
* describe what the group does
* explain why the group is good for the community
* suggest alternative days and times for practice
You should write at least 150 words.
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter in response to the prior received request to discontinue our music practice in the community hall.
I am the commencer of the group “ The local musicians”. Since the past year, we have been practicing music at the community hall on Tuesday and Friday evenings. The assembly of talented individuals is proved to be a great platform for budding artists and musicians. The upbeat atmosphere is increasingly gaining larger audiences, who are also getting well acquainted with the other services that the community hall offers.
There has been a substantial growth in the popularity of our group, amongst the localities. Due to this, the politicians of the area, have been pressurized to facilitate better roads and regularised cleanliness of the vicinity around the community hall. The group has also raised funds for the less fortunate and contributed its bit, by organizing awareness drives. This has played an important role in bringing business to the community hall banquets.
I suggest that a time slot from 4 pm- 6 pm on Saturday and Sunday can be reserved. This can be further discussed and mutually agreed upon. I hope we have your cooperation and utmost support in keeping the cheerful moment alive and going.
Yours Sincerely,
Khushleen Kaur
