It cannot be denied that the financial support to artists may lay a burden on the governmental budget, and such a fact leads some in the society to generate the opinion that we should expose the artists to the power of the free market. Nevertheless, such an opinion needs to be scrutinized meticulously before a conclusion can be drawn.
