The reading states that fuel-cell engines that use hydrogen are an alternative source for internal combustion engines and provide three reasons of support. However, the professor explains that it is true that petroleum is finite but hydrogen is not a good replacement for current fuel sources and refutes each of the author's reasons.
First, the article claims that petroleum is finite. The professor opposes this point by saying that although the petroleum is not renewable and will be finished but replacing hydrogen instead of current fuels is not feasible because it is not easily usable as a fuel. He also explains that it is clear that hydrogen is an available source but it cannot be easily usable and performing hydrogen to be used in cars as a source of energy need a difficult technology to obtain it as a pure liquid.
Second, the reading avers that using hydrogen is beneficial because it will solve the pollution problem. However, the professor contends that producing hydrogen produce lots of pollutant. According to professor to produce hydrogen a lot of coil and oil have to be burnt and the factories that produce hydrogen will bring lots of pollutant to the environment .So, it will not solve the pollution problem.
Third, the article posits that using hydrogen as a source of energy for cars need less money and it is more efficient. The professor opposes this point by explaining that obtaining hydrogen needs lots of platinium which is really expensive. We also learn that manifactoring hydrogen is an expensive process and it will not help people to save
