The reading is about a decrease in the tendency to read literature. The author believes in this statment and provides three consequence of it. the lecturer challenges the statments made by authtor. She is off the opinion that none of these is true.

First of all, the author suggests that apart from literature, none of the other fields can provide the intellectual imagination. This argument is challenged by the lecturer. She says that science, history, and politics can also improve imagination ability as well as literature.

Secondly, the writer contends that the decline in resing literature can be lowered the cultural level of a society because nowadays people are more interested in watching a music video or reading a web page instead of reading a novel or poems. The lecturer, however, rebuts this by asserting that music and movies are the contemporary source of impression since the cultures change over the time.

Finaly, it is stated ine the reading that at this time, publishers invest in the litreture less than past since the number of readers decrease. The lecturer, on the other hand, posits this by mentioning that it is writers inperfection because their literature is hard to understand in comparsion with the previous ones.
