glass, birds, harm, injury, One-Way Glass, Colorful DesignT Magnetic Field

Both article and lecture are bout solutions to prevent birds from hitting to the windows which might kill them. The author provides three solutions and discusses them. On the other hand, lecturer rebuts these ideas. He believes none of these solutions effectively helps birds.
First, The writer of the essay states that using one-way glasses, which people can see through them in just one side, can be useful. Professor, however, disagrees with this idea, because in these glasses the other side of the glass is like a mirror and reflects the surrounding environments such as sky and trees and, birds are not able to perceive this matter.
Second, the author suggests using colorful-lines on the glasses to make birds understand the existence of windows. Lecture challenges this concept by mentioning that birds, in this case, try to pass through the lines and this cause them to hit the glass. Moreover, He points out that for avoiding this problem these lines should be increased, which makes the inner space of the room dark.
Third, the essay says that since birds use magnetic fields to navigate, equipping buildings with powerful magnetic keeps birds away. Lecturer rejects this idea. He mentions that although birds use magnetic fields for navigational purposes, they employ it just in long travells. He states that in short distances, birds almost use their eye and light, so being a powerful magnetic field around houses doesn't help at all.
