High-intensity interval training
The reading and lecturer are both about High-intensity interval training. The author argues that HIIT is a useful tool for athletes as well as for ordinary people who want to get in shape without making a large time commitment. However, the lecturer refutes the claim of the author. he is of the opinion that HIIT requires Heavy workout, which is not suitable for ordinary people. The lecturer cast doubt on the main point made in the reading by providing three reasons.
To begin with, the author stated that HIIT burns fat and calories at a higher rate. Howbeit, the argument is challenged by the author that HIIT is not an easy workout, moreover, it makes people sick. Accordingly, Some people give up the said training.
Secondly, According to the reading, Hiit is able to perform a productive workout in only a few minutes, a few weeks. Thus makes exercise more appealing. Nevertheless, the lecturer rebuts this by mentioning that Hiit training provides heavy injury to work-out people.
Finally, the author posits that HIIT increases the overall fitness level and enthusiasm towards exercise among the public. Lecturer belives that HIIT is specific training for specific people. He feels that HIIT is a useful tool for athletes but not for ordinary people as it requires heavy training and load. Moreover, HIIT made people sick which is a major demerit of HIIT.
